Jane's Walk Saskatoon

About This Walk

Meet at the Pioneer Cairn on Saskatchewan Crescent at the head of the Broadway Bridge on May‎ ‎7‎, ‎2017‎ ‎at 10‎:‎00‎ ‎AM

Leader is our board member Dianne Wilson

Tour duration - One Hour

We will explore the geography of the Saskatoon area and its original inhabitants, and the community of Saskatoon from its inception to its “Boom Years” of 1911-13. Discussions of site location, transportation, local economy and ‘day-to-day’ life in this prairie environment will be augmented by stories of, and by, those who lived it. Old photographs, maps and a walk through the streets and lanes of the original 1883 town-site will give participants a hint of those early years
